Razzamatazz Robots Holiday Club!

A five-day holiday club plan, complete and ready-to-run
John Hardwick
The Razzamatazz Robots Holiday Club! is a fun-filled adventure, designed to help children unpack the plan of the Master Designer from creation to re-creation. Written by popular holiday-club writer and children's worker John Hardwick, Razzamatazz Robots is the latest club book that is bound to energize and entertain children in your church!

Containing all the essential ingredients for a successful, easy-to-run holiday club experience in a five-day, two-and-a-half-hour sessions format, the book is packed with practical ideas for songs, opening talks, theme illustrations, crafts, games puppet sketches, quizzes, Bible stories and fun sheets.

'We have used John Hardwick's holiday club material for the last five years and have been so impressed with his inventiveness, strength of Bible teaching, imaginative drama and the way it is so easy to use.'
P Harris, a youth pastor in Buckinghamshire

The Razzamatazz Robots Holiday Club! is ideal for holiday clubs and midweek groups, particularly church-based children's leaders running a holiday club for 5-11s. Churches and children's leaders will also find this book useful.

John works under the banner of Counties and Children Worldwide to present the Christian message in an exciting way, which will appeal to children of all ages. He is an all-age worship leader at Spring Harvest and Easter People, a key member of the Barnabas freelance team and author of the popular holiday club resources We're going on a Jungle Jamboree!, Champions!, Junior Heroes! and Starship Discovery! all published by Barnabas.

From The Church Times - June 2009

If your church has a committed and large team of children's workers, and your mind is turning to the summer holidays, Razzamatazz Robots Holiday CIub! is sure to raise a smile. The Watt family dramas illustrate the story of the creation and fall, Noah and redemption. Games, puppet sketches, quizzes, music, activities, and worksheets are provided. All you need to find are the people to make it happen.

Resources for five two-and-a-half-hour sessions are provided, plus additional material for another day or church service based on the Good Shepherd and the lost sheep. The programme is unapologetically evangelistic, and great fun. It would, with preparation and energy from a team of children's workers, be highly effective.

In my experience, summer holiday clubs inspire faith in large part because of the intensity of relationship that develops between leaders and children. Discipleship can be more difficult to inspire in regular children's groups if they are not encouraged by the church, and the leaders are not committed to running them regularly.
